PAINTING THE PANELS

Painting The Panels

EASipanel is made from quality, moisture resistant MDF which provides a smooth surface to paint.

With no knots to weep sap or discolour, and no cracking or shrinking as with traditional softwoods, EASipanel needs very little maintenance once painted.

We advise you paint your EASipanel once applied to your chosen surface as this ensures all the joints fit nicely together to provide a seamless finish.

Undercoat to prime a surface is a great way of ensuring a professional finish and we suggest you apply undercoat to your panels before your top coats.

Then apply two coats of your chosen paint.

Acrylic eggshell and satin finish are a great choice of paint, particularly for bathrooms.

Eggshell, satin, matte and gloss can all be used successfully on EASipanel.

Make sure you consider the area as you will have to pick your paint to suit. A hallway, stairway, kitchen or child's room may need a more wipeable finish so a matte finish may not be suitable.

EASipanel is a dream to paint and we suggest you use your local paint specialist to answer any questions regarding suitability.

Other finishes -

Staining is a great option for a traditional panel look.

Staining works well on both the T&G and R&F panels and brings out the natural woodgrain effect beautifully.

Please follow the instructions on the tin or research the product before using.

Distressing or liming EASipanel is also an option as the natural woodgrain effect is ideal for this effective finish.

Again, please follow instructions on chosen product and research methods.

Have fun!
